About the ONCC

The Official Nelson Commemoration Committee (ONCC) was formed in 1995 by the National Maritime Museum (NMM) and the Royal Naval Museum (RNM) and is the national co-ordinating body for The Trafalgar Festival.

Its members represent the NMM; RNM; Royal Navy; HMS 'Victory'; Society for Nautical Research; The 1805 Club; The Nelson Society; Sea Cadets; King George's Fund for Sailors; Greenwich Foundation; Lloyd's of London; Nelson Museum, Monmouth; Norfolk Nelson Museum and Beacon Millennium Ltd. (See Partner Organisations for more information about these organisations.)

The ONCC is overseeing the creation of a programme of events and activities that will take place throughout the summer and autumn of 2005 – The Trafalgar Festival.

The ONCC is not an events organiser or a fundraising body, but acts as a forum in which individual societies, organisations and companies can discuss the events they are planning and work together to create a unified programme.

The Chairman of the ONCC is Colin White, the Vice-Chairman is Peter Warwick and the ONCC Secretary is John Graves.
